How bad am I in keeping this blogging going!
I had forgotten all about it and ended up on my own blog from a link on a forum I am on! It did make interesting reading and brought back a few memories so I suppose I should try and get it going again properly now.
So what has happened since September? Well A and I had a great girly weekend in London in December to celebrate her 12th Birthday. We went to see Wicked which was totally"wicked" - if you get chance go and see this musical, it is brilliant. We did all the touristy things and spent a good morning in Hamleys so A could spend her birthday money. My dad had given her some money so she could treat me to a coffee so we had one in the cafe at Hamleys and she had an ice cream (see photo) It was an expensive weekend but I loved treating my gorgeous girl.
As a Christmas present to J I bought us a session with a photo studio and we spent a lot of money but got some absolutely gorgeous photos - I really wanted a good family one and think I got quite a few great ones!
New year saw work getting really busy. It is good busy though - when days go quick but you feel as if you are achieving things and striking them off the to do lists.
A has got a boyfriend now! They have been to the cinema twice and been in to town for lunch. He is a sweet lad and she is smitten - I'm not sure 12 is old enough but I think it is just good friends at the moment - although she did admit to having a little kiss xxx
A is doing well at High School and we had a great parent's evening last week with all the teachers saying how hard she's trying. She isn't a super duper student but she's holding her own comfortably in the average bracket and always does her best which is all I can ask from her.
J has just heard how much his company bonus is going to be .... and has already spent it in his head LOL Little does he know I've spent it too!! It is his 50th Birthday this year - can't believe I'm married to a man who's nearly 50 - when did that happen?? It will be our Silver Wedding Anniversary in 2 years time - I thought that only happened to old people as well!
So that is it really - 2009 vanished and suddenly it is 2010 - think it's going to be an OK year :-)
